Consumers’ Union of Galicia organises a workshop on Artificial Intelligence in the sector of tourism
15 November 2024

AI and algorithms are an increasing concern regarding consumer protection, since they tend to substitute human decision-making, rendering consumers more vulnerable to abuse. Mobile applications and search tools for shopping, restaurants, or accommodation are a main driver of consumer behaviour. More and more companies can now tailor the products or services they offer to consumers, based on their previous shopping or browsing history and even data from social media.
The focus of this event is to raise awareness on the way companies and AI operate, and to remind us of our rights when dealing with them.
The event will take place in Santiago’s Culture City, from 9.45 to 14.30. Register here.
