Hugo Lagergren

Hugo is a master’s student at Sciences Po Paris, studying international security, with a specialisation in global agrifood systems. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from Sciences Po Paris in politics and government, with a special focus on the MENA region. Through his studies, he has become well-acquainted with subjects ranging from European politics and international law through to food policy. Stemming in part from a love of food and cooking, he is passionate about creating a more sustainable food systems for all, in particular where it relates to consumption patterns and EU policy. As an intern, he is supporting the team across several European projects and advocacy initiatives that contribute to SAFE’s mission of ensuring consumer health and food-related concerns are placed at the heart of EU policymaking.
