Francisco de Araújo Vasquez
Francisco is a political science and European studies graduate from the Université libre de Bruxelles and from its Institute for European Studies. He also studied at Sciences Po Paris during his Erasmus exchange. Francisco joined SAFE in January 2024.
He previously worked as a research assistant at the Institute for European Studies and as a trainee in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation. He then worked on public affairs and advocacy for the main European biotech trade association in Brussels.
In his current position, Francisco manages several Horizon Europe projects on behalf of SAFE and is responsible for leading and developing SAFE’s advocacy efforts towards EU, national and regional stakeholders.
