Cecilia D’Acunto

Cecilia was born and raised in Italy, and she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences for Globalisation from the University of Milan, and a Master’s in Comparative Politics from Radboud University in the Netherlands.

Her professional career kicked-off in Geneva, where she worked for a human rights NGO and the Joint Inspection Unit of the United Nations System.

She landed in Brussels in 2020, where she served as a Project Manager for an international consultancy company specialised in implementing EU-funded energy and climate projects.

Cecilia has always been passionate about food-related issues and is eager to protect and promote the rights of European consumers while working as a Project & Policy Officer at SAFE.
