GI SMART

This project is about Geographical Indications’ contribution to smart territorial development and sustainability. It is a new Horizon Europe project aiming to assess and strengthen the contribution of Geographical Indications to the EU “Farm to Fork” strategy for sustainable food systems, which are now facing new challenges surrounding biodiversity conservation and nutritional transitions. The role of SAFE in the project is to ensure that recommendations formulated are attuned to the needs of consumers and consumer organisations.
