The Association of Consumer Organizations in Slovakia was founded in 1999 and carries out information and educational activities with the aim of promoting the rights and interests of consumers in the market economy. Members of the organization are associated in seven regional organizations. Educational activities are financed from domestic and international projects. The association acted as the national coordinator of the European projects The European Diary and Consumer Classroom, which were supported by the European Commission. The Association organizes conferences, seminars, trainings, workshops, publishes leaflets, informational and educational materials.
