With other organisations, we urged the European Commission and Member States to reject Amendments 171 and 72 in the CMO trilogues. Amendment 171 imposed unjustified restrictions on plant-based dairy labelling, harming both consumers and producers, while Amendment 72 risked future legal uncertainty. These changes contradicted the EU’s sustainability goals and must be opposed.
