A new EU agency for health considered by the European Commission

The European Commission (EC) is considering strengthening the EU’s competence in health policy in the wake of the covid -19 crisis. Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the EC would come forward with a legislative proposal to create a new agency, the European Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, in 2021.
