SAFE’s General Assembly 2025

On June 23, SAFE held its 2025 General Assembly online, bringing together its members from across Europe to share updates in their countries and inspire collaboration:

EEKE (Greece): Anastasia Chatzipavlou presented the Preventia project to fight non-communicable diseases (NCDs), coordinated by SAFE, including their initiative Around My Kitchen Table—promoting healthy nutrition among refugees. She also addressed food inflation in Greece.

Dansk Vegetarisk Forening (DVF) – Vegetarian Society of Denmark: Hanne Winter shared insights on their “plant-based diplomacy”, to reduce meat consumption in Denmark and across Europe.

ConsumES (Spain): Miguel López Crespo highlighted key takeaways from their International Consumers Conference in Santiago, where some members participated.

ADOC Associazione consumatori (Italy): Laura Pulcini presented their sustainability initiatives aimed at social inclusion.

Bulgarian Association for Affordable and Quality Food: Andrey Velchev discussed consumer needs and challenges in Bulgaria.

Association of Consumer Entities of Slovakia: Božena Stašenková introduced their national youth competition “Consumption for Life”.

SAFE and its members reaffirmed their common commitment to safer, more inclusive, and healthier food systems.
