Carla Valeiras Alvarez

Carla is Spanish and holds a Bachelor’s in Law (La Laguna University, Spain) and an LLM in European Law (Leiden University, the Netherlands). Over the years, Carla grew an increasing interest in food policy and sustainability issues. She previously worked as a Policy Adviser for a trade association where she focused on EU food policies and regulatory affairs – her expertise ranges from the Farm to Fork Strategy and actions therein, to non-food policy issues such as chemicals legislation and product safety legislation. She also has experience as a consultant, advising and managing associations in the food sector.
