Food labelling

27 September 2022

The issue of informing consumers on the place of origin of the food they consume, of all ingredients in said food, or of the feed that animals in the food production chain will consume, is a topic that has always been at the core of SAFE’s actions, and it has been followed in recent years with particular interest by us and our members.

SAFE believes that misleading labelling information that does not reflect the real nutritional value of a food product should be prohibited. Consumers should indeed be able to make informed choices by having clear and understandable information on food packaging, or by being sure that health messages on food products are scientifically justified.

Without correct and comprehensive labelling information, there is no choice!
