Secretary General

FlorianaCimmarustiFloriana is an international lawyer with more than fifteen years of working experience gained in Italy, Belgium and Switzerland. She was born in Bari, Italy, where she studied law, concluding with an Erasmus program in international law in Salamanca, Spain. Next to her law degree, she obtained a Master in Law, Economy and Politics of the European Union at the European College of Parma in Italy.

She gained experience in EU Law at the Tizzano law firm in Brussels. Furthermore, she worked in the International Departement of the National Council of Architects in Rome as legal Counsel expert in EU Affairs. Later she was a director of Cooperation Bancaire pour l’Europe, a GEIE based in Brussels.

For family reasons she moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where she attended a Master in Laws LLM at the University of Geneva. In Switzerland, she worked as legal Counsel in Lausanne at the Banque Cantonale de Vaud and in Cotecna, an international company based in Geneva.

Once back in Brussels, she worked again as a lobbyist at the European Fund Asset Management Association where she was Regulatory Policy Adviser. She also cooperated with BelgicaNNats, a non-profit organization in charge of protecting the rights of working children in developing countries.

Björn Becker
Communications Officer

BBBjörn has 15+ years of experience in EU communications and event management. He’s from Germany and studied Political Science, International Cooperation and EU Public Policy in Aachen (Germany), Paris and London. Björn worked in the European ParliamentEuropean Voice and 6 years for Eurochild, the European children’s rights network.

At SAFE he’s in charge of the website, the newsletter mailings and advising on the Communications strategy.

Bruno Menne
Policy Officer & Project Coordinator

After graduating from a bachelor in Political Science at Université Saint-Louis Bruxelles, Bruno went to Rotterdam to pursue a master in International Public Management and Public Policies at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. In 2016, while completing a second master in Public Administration at Université Catholique de Louvain-La-Neuve, he joined SAFE for a 10 months internship. Finally, after graduating from his second master in September 2017, he joined SAFE’s team as Policy Officer and Project Coordinator.

At SAFE, Bruno uses his skills to monitor EU legislation and conduct lobbying activities. He is also in charge of coordinating different EU projects.

Antoine D’haese
Office and Communication Manager

Antoine is Belgian and completed an Advanced Master in Interdisciplinary Analysis of European integration at the Institute of European Studies in Brussels in September 2018. He previously graduated in History at Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2015, then worked as an archivist for a French Environmentalist Association and at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris. He first joined SAFE’s team for for a 6-month-long internship in June 2018. In 2019, Antoine continued his work at SAFE as Office and communication Manager.

At SAFE, Antoine is in charge of managing SAFE’s communication channels and social networks. He also coordinates several EU projects, among which one Erasmus + Project.

Laure Guillevic
Project Coordinator & Policy Officer

Laure is French and successfully graduated from a Master degree in European Affairs at the Political Studies Institute of Rennes. Before joining SAFE as a Project Coordinator and Policy Officer in September 2019, she studied abroad for a semester at the Maastricht University in the European studies Department. She then discovered SAFE’s team as an intern.

Laure acquired a lot of experience in EU Affairs at the Representation of the French region “Pays de la Loire” to the European Union, working specifically on Agriculture and Fisheries topics.

Laure has a strong knowledge of the European decision-making process with a specific focus on Food Law, the Common Agricultural Policy, the Fisheries Common Policy and environmental issues.

At SAFE, Laure Guillevic is in charge of coordinating the Erasmus + Project “Tackling Adolescent Obesity”.

Flore Gustave
EU Affairs Intern

Flore is a French intern soon to be graduated from a Master of laws in Legal and Political aspects of International Affairs at Cardiff University, after obtaining a law degree from the University of Rennes I, during which she also studied abroad for one year in the UK as part of an Erasmus + programme. She also has a literature and languages background thanks to a year of study in a Higher School Preparatory Class in France.

She developed an interest both in social projects through different jobs and pro bono schemes, and for EU related topics through her studies and travels, before joining SAFE’s team as a Communication and EU Affairs intern in November 2019.

Chloé Lebeslourd
EU Affairs Intern

After a year abroad in High School (in the US, 2013-2014), Chloé decided to pursue her studies towards an international perspective. She holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Law and English from the University of Tours (France) and is soon to be graduated from a Master’s degree in European and International Project Engineering.

She joined SAFE as an intern to develop her project management and advocacy skills, as well as to have more opportunity to give more visibility of EU actions to civil society. Over time, she grew more and more interested in nutrition, the environment and animal welfare and is now a vegetarian.
